TechSafe Online Safety Resources

STAY SAFE WITH OUR GROWING ONLINE SAFETY RESOURCES

Teaching online safety with our TechSafe App Series

In partnership with Frosby Apps and children and young people from schools and community groups, TechSafe have created a series of beautifully illustrated online safety information apps for parents, carers and professionals.

Our suite of TechSafe apps cover a range of online safety topics such as Social Media, Online Bullying, Gaming, Mental Health, Sexting advice for teens and more. The apps are free to download on Apple and Android devices and are packed with resources, advice and practical tips for all ages to help keep everyone safe online.

Our Recent App Camps

Here are some of our recent apps we’ve made: TechSafe SEND, TechSafe Bullying, TechSafe Mental Health and TechSafe Fostering. They were all made by children aged 8-14 and thanks to our generous funders.

Thank you so much – I’m not exaggerating when I say that my daughter loved every minute of App Camp!

TECHSAFE SOCIAL NARRATIVES

Social narratives are a great way to start a conversation with a child with learning difficulties. They:

  • Make rules and solutions clear
  • Promote independence
  • Provide a useful reminder for the child to refer to

These social narratives about online safety can be used as they are or adapted to make them more relevant for your child. You can include symbols that your child uses in school or photographs of your child to illustrate the information and support their understanding. Black and white versions can be downloaded for those children who might find colour distracting.
